SENIOR COACH

Senior Coach

As a junior Ebe Ghansah our senior Gymnastic Coach trained Gymnastics  at Hendon Gymnastics Centre and dancing at Pineapple Dance studio in Covent Garden to compliment his training in Capoeira (An Afro-Brazilian martial art and game that includes elements of gymnastic movement dance, acrobatics and music ) ( Travelling many times to Brazil ) and Taekwondo (Travelling many times to South Korea).

Quote:
“Gymnastics and taekwondo are somewhat similar in training with taekwondo only having a somewhat higher endurance requirement. For muscle development and flexibility, they are probably more similar than different”

Ebe says that it is unusual to provide martial arts and fitness training and gymnastics under one roof as they do at M1J14 Academy.

“Normally those don’t go together, but I think they should”.

Gymnastics helped him to achieve his goal of competing in the Olympics which he did in Seoul 1988 (Taekwondo). He competed in the 1988 Seoul Olympics and competed in the 1987 World Freestyle Dance Championship too.

As Senior Coach at the M1J14  Academy , his mission is to show everyone that one can define ones own fitness as a sustainable and enjoyable part of life.

His Quote
“I like Both! I think if you take both they will complement each other You need similar skills. With gymnastics comes flexibility and grace. You can use those to become better at Martial Arts ans it is never the same day at the Academy ever. That keeps it exciting!”
